Christmas in Oregon -

One very good thing about the delay in normal winter weather here is the road condition!  We were able to gather a small crowd together in Portland to celebrate Christmas at Susan's, and to spend some vacation time with Margaret and Greg in Indepedence too!
The crowd: Colleen flew in from Boise; Marie, Dave, Andy and I drove from here; Beth flew from PA; and Joseph and Marshal drove/flew from Burley!  Everyone arrived different days/time, and the first couple of days were spent catching up, decorating the tree, playing with the pups, inventing random entertainment like candy cane fencing, watching holiday movies, and cooking deliciousness.
Back in the good ol' days, we were spoiled by a neighbor who delivered a pile of homemade tamales to our door every Christmas.  We decided to try making them with our intrinsic assembly line method, and it was a success!  We even made dessert tamales with cinnamon in the dough and apple pie filling wrapped inside.  Scrumptious!
